1 kilo of pork
8 cups water
2-3 medium sweet corn (slice into 3)
1 medium onion, peeled and quartered
1 cube knorr pork cube
1 small calabasa, peeled, seeded and cut into 2inches chunks
8-10 pieces green beans
1 bunch pechay, ends trimmed and leaves separated
whole pepper 10-12 pieces
salt to taste
Instructions
- In a pot over medium heat, combine pork and water. Bring to a boil, skimming scum that accumulates on top.
- Add onions, corns and the knorr pork cube. Continue to boil for about 3 to 5 minutes.
- Lower heat, cover and cook for about 1 to 1 ½ hours or until pork and corn are tender.
- Add more water if needed to maintain about 6 to 7 cups.
- Add calabasa and cook for about 6 to 8 minutes or until tender yet firm.
- Add green beans, pechay, whole pepper and cook for about 3 minutes or until tender yet crisp.
- Season with salt to taste.
- Serve hot with rice.
